Centrifugal Separation Technology
The disc stack separator efficiently separates solids and one or two liquid phases in a single continuous process using high centrifugal forces. Denser solids are forced outward against the rotating bowl wall while lighter liquid phases form concentric inner layers. The interface position between phases can be adjusted for optimal separation efficiency. Special disc plates provide additional surface area, dramatically accelerating the separation process and enabling continuous operation across various applications.
2-Phase Separation Process
Process Flow: 1 Feed → 2 Discharge → 3 Inlet tube → 4 Disc stack → 5 Solids holding space → 6 Centripetal pump chamber → 7 Centripetal pump
Separation occurs within a rotating bowl where feed material is introduced via a stationary inlet pipe and accelerated through a specially designed distributor. Liquid-solid separation takes place between discs, with liquid moving to the center and being pumped out via a paring disc. Solids collect in the periphery and are discharged intermittently through a hydraulic system that opens solids ports at preset intervals.
3-Phase Separation Process
Components: 1 Inlet tube → 2 Central bore → 3 Distributor → 4 Distributor bore → 5 Rising channels → 6 Light phase centripetal pump → 7 Heavy phase centripetal pump
The suspension enters the separator bowl through a feeding pipe into the disc stack. Heavy phases and sludge move toward the bowl periphery while light phases flow toward the center for pumping. Heavy phase is directed over a top disc into a chamber where a paring device pumps it out. Solids collect in the sludge space and discharge automatically via hydraulic system at preset intervals.
